Raghuveer Exim Limited was developing a new export-oriented garment manufacturing unit and required a comfortable working environment for employees.
In a garment stitching unit, a large number of workers operate continuously inside the production area. Maintaining adequate fresh-air circulation and ventilation is therefore important for creating a more comfortable workplace.
The customer also wanted to address excessive heat inside the production area, which can contribute to discomfort and affect machine operation.
Our objective was to develop a cost-effective industrial cooling and ventilation system that could:
The project presented an important engineering challenge because the cooling and ventilation system had to be installed on the second/third floor of the building.
The system therefore had to be designed not only for cooling performance, but also for:
The solution needed to work as an integrated fresh-air cooling and exhaust system, rather than simply placing air coolers inside the plant.
We recommended a cross-ventilation system using industrial air coolers and exhaust fans.
The basic principle was to introduce large quantities of cooled fresh air from one side of the building while exhausting hot air from the opposite side.
This creates continuous air movement through the production area and helps maintain positive pressure inside the plant.
The system was designed with a target of reducing the indoor temperature by approximately 8–10°C compared with ambient conditions, depending on operating conditions.
The project uses the principle of volume cooling with cross ventilation.
Fresh air is introduced into the plant through the industrial air coolers.
The cooled air is distributed through the plenum box and jet nozzle arrangement, allowing the air to be thrown into the production area.
At the opposite side of the building, exhaust fans continuously remove hot and stale air.
Fresh Air → Industrial Air Coolers → Jet Nozzles → Production Area → Exhaust Fans → Hot Air Removal
This arrangement helps maintain continuous air circulation and positive pressure inside the manufacturing area.
One of the key challenges was installing the system in an elevated-floor garment manufacturing facility.
Instead of designing a system that would be difficult to access later, we developed the supporting structure and installation arrangement with future maintenance and servicing in mind.
The system was designed to be:
We also selected engineering plastic ducts for the air distribution system.
Apart from their functional purpose, these ducts provided a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing appearance, complementing the building exterior and maintaining a decent appearance inside the production area.
The installed system achieved an approximately 8–10°C temperature reduction during peak summer conditions.
The customer achieved a more comfortable working environment for employees in the garment production area.
According to the customer, the solution also offers advantages in terms of:
The customer has expressed satisfaction with the overall solution. A formal recorded customer testimonial is planned separately.
Garment manufacturing facilities often have large production areas with significant worker density and continuous machine operation.
A properly designed industrial cooling and ventilation system can provide more than temperature reduction. It can help create better air movement, introduce fresh air and remove accumulated hot air from the production environment.
For this project, the combination of industrial air coolers, jet-nozzle air distribution and exhaust ventilation was selected to address the overall environmental conditions of the manufacturing plant.
This project demonstrates our approach to industrial cooling and ventilation for textile and garment manufacturing facilities.
Rather than selecting air coolers based only on CFM capacity, we consider the complete airflow requirement, including:
Cooling + Fresh Air + Air Distribution + Cross Ventilation + Exhaust + Installation + Maintenance
This approach allows us to develop customized industrial cooling solutions for textile factories, garment units and other large industrial facilities.
If you are setting up or upgrading a garment manufacturing unit, textile factory, stitching unit or export production facility, we can help design an industrial cooling and ventilation system based on your plant area, building height, production layout and ventilation requirements.
